At the Cart Shed, we believe that being involved in nature has benefits for everyone.
Blue Light Workers
Improve your wellbeing, be creative and enjoy being outside in our beautiful woodlands.
Are you employed as a Blue Light worker? We have been funded by the Blue Light Card Foundation to offer FREE sessions for you to enjoy time in our woods to be creative and improve your wellbeing.
There are a range of seasonal activities available including green wood working, willow weaving, horticulture and creative crafts. All of these take place in our beautiful woodlands in north Herefordshire and include support around improving your wellbeing.
Come and find out what it’s all about on a taster day and then come for a day a week for 4 to 12 sessions. Sessions run from 10-3pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and 10am to 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A hot cooked lunch made outside in our woodland kitchens is included for a voluntary contribution of £3.
This is for all Blue Light workers including NHS employees, Social Care workers, serving members of the Armed Forces or Veterans, and many others. Please click on this link for the full list of those eligible https://www.bluelightcard.co.uk/
Free transport is available on request (where possible) from pick-up points in Hereford, Kington and Leominster. The 461 bus route also has a request stop near our site.
"I’ve really enjoyed coming to the Cart Shed. It’s so lovely to be outside round the fire in such a beautiful place and I’ve really enjoyed learning to willow weave, and try all the other crafts."
