The Cart Shed wishes to recruit up to two new trustees


The Cart Shed is looking for someone with any of the following attributes:

  • Experience as a trustee or board director.

  • A professional or researcher with a specialisation in education and/or social care; or professional finance experience

  • Lived experience of a mental health issue desirable: either personal experience, or experience supporting a relative with a mental health issu

Geographical proximity to Herefordshire/The Cart Shed desirable.

 

Trustees are expected to attend every board meeting. They take place once every 3 months and last about 3 hours. They are held at The Cart Shed location in Herefordshire.

Trustees may also be asked to carry out tasks relevant to their area of expertise and will be expected to familiarise themselves with the activity of the charity and to support events where appropriate.

The position is not remunerated and the appointment is for three years, renewable.

Young Volunteer Needed!​​​

 

Are you aged 18 - 25 and looking for a volunteering opportunity, maybe something to  help you gain experience for a future career either with young people or related to the natural environment?

You could be just the person we need to support our staff running Young Cart Shed. Obviously we value all ages of volunteers but this particular programme needs some additional younger aged volunteers to be positive younger role models for the group.

Some qualities that would be advantageous:

Energetic and physically active

Willing to take part in games

Model positive engagement and enthusiasm

Understanding of risk management whilst outdoor and taking part in activities

Able to engage with and manage positive peer interactions – able to handle testing language calmly and professionally and with humour

Comfortable engaging with youth culture

Capable of maintaining fair but firm boundaries

Have a relaxed approach

Uses initiative

Shares creative ideas
