"The more I experience the Cart Shed, the more impressed I am by its entire ethos. It is obvious that everybody feels very much at home in the woods and are able to let their creativity flow while learning new skills."

The Cart shed courses

New course time table coming soon.

Our activities are tailored to an individual’s needs with participants choosing from a range of projects, working at their chosen pace in a friendly nurturing environment.

Our days begin at 10am with circle time around the camp fire cup of tea in hand. Participants then begin their activities meeting again at lunchtime for a home grown, home cooked lunch prepared and cooked in the woods by our volunteers, following the afternoon session the day ends with circle time at 3pm.

These weekly sessions are suitable for a range of individuals; adults who may be struggling to cope with the pressures of life, or those who, now retired, want the companionship of others in a stimulating environment. We also take students directly from schools or who are on the Live and Learn program.

Tools, materials, hot drinks and scrumptious lunch - cooked on site over an open fire! - are provided. The location has several woodland shelters, a kitchen area, and a compost toilet.

Hot lunch costs £2.00 which is payable on the day - a nutritious vegetable stew made with veggies from the Organic walled garden and sausages.

Transport from Leominster, Hereford and Kington can be arranged, please contact info@thecartshed.co.uk for further information.

Please bring stout boots/wellies and suitable warm/weather proof clothing.

The Cart Shed has an extensive policy handbook including a Safeguarding Policy, which is available on request. All members of staff and volunteers have enhanced DBS (CRB) clearance to work with vulnerable adults and children.
