The Cart Shed Explorer Sessions | 18th-19th August

We have updated our booking system and are now accepting online payments. 



Suitable for Primary School aged children 5-10yrs. Every day will include cooking on an open fire, games, free play and a range of woodland activities. Please see our Gallery page for pictures from previous holiday club days.

Course information
Please send your child with a packed lunch and Drink/s in a refillable bottle.

All long hair MUST be tied up.

Activities take place outdoors, it will be messy and conditions can be unpredictable. 

Please send your child with the following:
1. Appropriate clothing – Wellies, warm coat, gloves, warm hat. Sun hat, sunscreen. If wet, waterproofs, a warm coat, over trousers, and a hat. A change of clothes is essential!
2. A packed lunch
3. Please send your child with a hat to keep loose hair out of the way.

All our activities are run in the woods - as a result there are certain hazards to take into account.
• The ground is uneven; there are trip hazards such as tree roots and small branches. If your child requires support to get on and off site please inform us at the time of booking.
• Plants and insects can cause rashes, stings or bites. This is why it is very important to let us know of any allergies.

We will take every care to ensure your child’s safety. We will have a minimum of 2 trained staff on site at all times.

If you know your child is allergic to anything, please inform us at the time of booking and the course leader on the day. If your child has a severe allergy and requires an inhaler or epi-pen, please ensure the course leader knows about this before the activities begin.  
Children must be able to administer their own medication.

Evidence shows that real and meaningful experience in natural environments at an early age gives children a better start in life, greater 

emotional security, better concentration and an ability to empathise with the needs of others.

The Cart Shed offers a wide range of courses and activities that are designed to encourage children to learn and play outdoors in ways that are fun, stimulating and at times challenging.

The Cart Shed has an extensive policy handbook including a Safeguarding Policy, which is available on request. All members of staff and volunteers have enhanced DBS (CRB) clearance to work with children and vulnerable adults.

Cancellations - The Cart Shed Charity reserves the right to cancel an activity if there are insufficient numbers at which point a full refund will be made for the cost of the course only. 
Please note that any money received for activities booked is non refundable unless the place can be re-allocated.
