Red Cross: The Great Spring Gardening Event

Great Spring Garden Event, now celebrating its 20th year anniversary, will be held again at Newport House, Herefordshire. 

Newport House

Newport House is thought to have been the home of the Lollard martyr Sir John Oldcastle (1360-1417) who was the model for Shakespeare’s Falstaff. 

There will be specialist plant nurseries where you can add a great new feature to your garden, items for your home, gifts for someone special and food to keep you going.

Ticket information

This is a rare opportunity to visit the gardens usually closed to the public. Tickets are only £6 in advance and £7 on the day.

Please note: We will not be sending out tickets. Once booked, your email confirmation will enable you entry to the event. 


Delicious light lunches, tea, coffee and cakes will be served throughout the day.
