"I have really enjoyed the course, just wished they lasted longer. It gives me a sense of purpose, to learn and to feel at ease and that there is no pressure. I really don’t want this to end!!!"
Young Cart Shed
Our new programme: Young Cart Shed, offers a unique opportunity for parent and child to experience the outdoors in a safe and welcoming woodland environment.
Transport is now available from Hereford and Leominster on Fridays throughout August.
As a result of advice from government advisors, The Cart Shed Charity will be suspending its daily woodland activities until further notice.
We are offering a phone based service Mon-Fri 9am-5pm to our participants, which is complemented by text messages, emails, WhatsApp converstions and dedicated Facebook groups for particular courses. Our fantastic team of dedicated staff is rising to the challenge this pandemic presents and has created an entirely new service to support our participants, volunteers and each other.
We are facing an unprecedented crisis as a country because of Covid-19 and sadly for some there will be the trauma of saying goodbye to a close family member or a friend.
Many of us are living with fear or anxiety – do not stay alone with your worries or grief. We will do our best to be with you, so stay in touch or get in touch.
We hope to extend this offer to the wider community before too long.
Stay safe, stay well and stay connected.

We work with young people aged 10 – 25 with Mondays dedicated to 10 – 18 year olds and their parents/carers.
Our team of Young Cart Shed tutors, health professionals and volunteers work with schools, health professionals and parents of home educated children to provide a space to share in activities and gain appropriate support as and when needed.
Our experience shows that working with parents/carers and their children together can really help move things forward. We explore ways to support emotional wellbeing in a fun, creative non-judgmental environment whilst also providing opportunities to learn new skills such as green woodwork, basket making, horticulture and outdoor cookery.
